Ok i have been a mechanic for a while. I would rather work on a subaru any day over an audi. Audis are junk plain and simple. Timing is a pain to do on them, i have replaced so many turbos on them from them blowing seals. They're electrical nightmares when anything goes wrong. They require special tools to work on. Only car i know where book time is 13 hours to replace and alternator. They have some tranny issues that are expensive to fix, sometimes impossible to find parts for. They require audi everything all the way down to the plugs cause if they are not audi they will misfire. They take synthetic oil so just there is double the cost of an oil change. Their oil and tranny pans hang low and constantly get smashed off where no one notices destroying the motor. Even stupid shit is expensive like an exhaust system i used to sell the old ones to the junk yards for 700 and the new ones where around 1300 to replace with out labor. The studs on the turbos break leading to the exhaust falling off. Audi will not release all of there tech data and tools to the regular shops leaving you to have to go to a dealership for some shit.
