Trained dogs from $1500 to priceless.

My pricing is based on their level of training and breeding potential. The best of the best usually go to good friends or repeat customers.

Right now I have a 2 year old male that is a good hunting dog and partially trained. He is not of breedable quality though, so I'd let him go for a couple hundred which is cheap but I just want him to go to a good home.
My boss trains German short hairs and was out out leading a group one day, when one of the guys he was leading shot his dog doing something stupid. Almost shot my boss in the process. He rushed to an animal hospital but he was out in east bumblefuck and the dog died before he could get there.

He came back and the guy said "is there anything I can do?" And my boss told him "yeah write me a check right now for 3 grand." So the guy did.

Unfortunately stuff like that happens when you guide for people not experienced with hunting over dogs, hunting in general, or just unsafe. Nobody has ever come close to shooting my dog but I have had a few close calls when I guided full time at a hunt club. You never knew who you'd be guiding from one day to the next.

3K wouldn't come close to covering the loss of a great dog.

It was 3 or 5 I can't remember which, but I know the guy wrote the check out on the spot. Still, he puts a TON of time into training those dogs. I'm probably preaching to the choir though. I'm sure you know what it takes to have a consistently good hunting dog.

Uhh, I was looking at opencarry.com and It says this:

Connecticut is not a traditional open carry state. Outside of your own residence or place of business, a permit is required to carry. The permit that Connecticut issues is a carry permit, not a concealed carry permit, so open carry IS legal with a permit.
I always though CT DID issue a CCW and not just a permit.. What's the deal here? I'm only 18 so it doesn't effect me, I'm just wondering.

Carrying a Pistol is Carrying a Pistol. Everyone in CT practices CONCEALED because the sheep of this state Will call the cops on you if they see you OPEN CARRYING. You WILL be arrested for a public disturbance, have your pistol taken away and you may or may not lose your Carry Permit.

If you are in CT, Conceal Carry, it is better anyway.

oh yeah, and remember kids - ear protection is very important. my ear are still ringing after 13 open air shots from yesterday. even if you have to stuff piece of napkin in your ears.
