To buy or not to buy MKII

So I am looking for a Daily Driver and am looking into MkII GTI's. I found an 87 GTI 16v, 5spd, 120k on body, 20k on motor. Runs mint! Body is in great shape. Almost no rust at all. Interior is MINT. It has a bunch of little things done to the motor, and intake, exhaust. FK Coilovers. The guy wants $1500. The one thing wrong with it is that the front driver side coilover is shot. What do you guys think??? I know some of you probably don't like them but I just want some opinions. Here's a pic. Too bad its shitty

fk has a warranty on there coilovers an should replace it for free. thats a sick ride should get around 30 mpg driving it "normal"

Those are great cars. I wouldn't hesitate. They run forever. I had an 87 and it ended up with 240k on it before I sold it.
