ok let me clarify sense you hate me, I enjoy cruising around on blues and even the mild black where we can all make it and its just a jolly little ride in the forest. I DO NOT enjoy paying $35 dollars to drive to Tombstone, break, sit there all day and fix.

Now if I had a buggie, I would enjoy that. Hitting the top at CV at 30 and doing 57 barrel rolls down the hill for some reason does get my blood pumping

I guess I just dont like that fluffy inbetween stuff... ya know?

True, as well as a limited wheelbase. The 4 door is a better platform for EXP without a doubt, but I hate to see people just dump vehicles because they are bored with it rather then just configure it to the way they want or at least a variation that enables them to do what they want to do with it.

these 2 are the same thing, except one is a more exciting 10 seconds of breaking before you sit there all day fixing

either way there was way more to my post than the first half sentence...

We already made it a club rule that we will no longer go to tombstone.

Yes exactly, $1500 and the saharicon would be right back to daily drivable. The big thing is room. With guinness and a bunch of gear the TJ just doesnt cut it. The JK will be paid for in full as well so pay offs wont matter and Im also considering a little gas mobile for DD purposes or just driving back and forth from work. Like a little civic or beater mobile that gets 1 billion mpg

Im not bored with the TJ at all, I love the TJ its just not pratical for me anymore being the size of it and cargo space. I would keep it for just rock crawling, but I have other plans for that.

I'm considering building my new xj to be a mild EXP vehicle, becuase as a club there is a lot of legal dirt roads and back forest places we can explore in NH VT NY and ME and we all have plenty capable rigs to get there and back, the more and more i think about it i like this expedition/speed thing more and more

Yea that actually the only site I havent been on yet. Been spending a lot of time looking at expeditionportal.com

but yea Jeff there is a lot of cool stuff in VT and Maine, and for extended trips New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are really cool.
