Fish

So little story to tell. Get home with some goldies to feed the fish. Throw a couple in and gonzo but when I take a closer look I notice that exhibit A




must have gone for a goldie when exhibit B






got ahold of it. The bass must have decided to open wide and got exhibit B wedged in his mouth.

Now The Basses mouth is completely fucking wide open with the ass end of exhibit B's tail just barely sticking out. WTF right? So I'm trying to figure out what the fuck to do cause If I leave it be both fish will die. It's not unheard of for bass to get what is called "lockjaw" and die. Basically little bass goes for fish that's too big and gets mouth stuck wide open, dead shortly after. Now my bass is a little too big for lockjaw but with a fish wedged in there it would have happened. So I go in with one hand and try to grab what is hanging out of the bass' mouth and pull but not even a little movement. Few minutes go by, getting stressed so I go in with hand two and grab the bass' tail to try and pull it out. Too much pulling force, afraid to pull bass in half. So I try to grab the mouth of the bass and twist exhibit B out. Anyway finally get it and all is well. Haven't seen the little guy . Probably dead in a hole somewhere.

Sorry no pics of actual action. Was slightly pre-occupied.

haha that reminds me of when I had my saltwater tank going with 3 Triggers (Clown Trigger, Niger Trigger and Puma Trigger) and they all battled to the death. Of course the $160 fish dies first and then the Picasso destroys the Niger trigger. It was probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Then my Snowflake eel ate the remains

yeah last summer my bro decided to get an angel fish and a couple others and throw them in a tank with a crayfish not thinking about it, by the next day there were no more fish lol

I have a male beta fish..if i put another one in there it would be a mean fight.

I have a friend who goes to school in Maine and he knew some kids who "underground fish fought" and they would just put beta fish in a tank together and watch them.

Yeah my brother and his friends actually bet on fish. A couple of him and his friends bouht betas and made a "tournament" out of it and the winner gets monies. I think its kinda stupid but oh well

yeah man i used to see large mouth with pumpkin seed sunnies or big blue gills stuffed in their mouths just washed up dead. eyes are bigger than their stomaches eh?
