For me, Yes, jeeps are still the daily driver. I drive the Wagoneer to work every day. 8 miles round trip. thought, any long trip in which wheeling is not part of the agenda, I take the toyota.

I dont gots a jeep right now, but in the process of looking. When i get one it wont be the DD because i will still have my neon.

Right now I'm commuting ~60 miles a day monday-friday for school so I drive this:

(minus the headlight wipers)
Other than that I drive the swiss cheese mobile around everywhere else

I DD a CJ-7 for years also had a grand wagoneer it's like driving a couch handles like it too.
I've gone through my share of cars.
I also had an XJ for a while that was DD and I wheeled it.

Now I have a CJ-5 just for rock crawling it is still street legal I drive it to the bar down the street and for gas but that is it. Tires cost too much.

Since I got a trailer I'm going to trailer everything to the trails. Nice insurance if anything happens I still have a comfortable ride home.

This summer I want to get another street worthy CJ-7.

yj is not a dd but i do enjoy it around town on nice days. $200 cherokee is my DD and my Saab is the fun around town car

my jeep has been my DD for the last couple weeks because i blew the heater core in the jetta so i only drive it when it is warmer out. I hate having to drive the jeep 45 minutes to work and school everyday.
