Jeep Motivation

What was your motivation for getting a Jeep? I'm just curious because I know I had always wanted one, but probably wouldnt have gotten one at this point in my life if not for the club.

I'm curious to see the influence the community has over the millions of dollars the company spends in marketing. Usually word of mouth proves to be best.

If you dont have one but are planning on getting one, vote for whatever option fits you best

Jeeps marketing to this niche is sad at best.

My mom bought my current XJ for herself before I could drive. When I got my license, I bought it off of her, I liked it because it was quick and was a little fun.. The XJ used to be one of the faster SUVs on the road, if not in the top few fastest..oddly enough.

A little before I bought it (ok a year before) i was on JF a lot lookin around, and saw a lot of the setups offered, and decided i wanted to have an off road XJ

so i started mild, and i guess i sorta got into it.

i got rid of my jeep for hopes in building something else. But i bought my first jeep a few years ago because i was poor and came across it cheap.

i just always wanted a jeep. i had the lil powerwheels one. when i got my first car i wanted it to be a jeep but couldn't afford the one i wanted. and after driving for 3 years i still wanted one and my car crapped out so i got it. its been almost 5 years now and a love/hate relationship at times but i still really like them. if i can i'll always have one just around for fun

I hated Jeeps before, my dad brainwashed me into that. Then a friend took me for a ride in his YJ a few years back and I liked it. I got over my fears and hubby bought a YJ and I loved it. One day I saw an XJ lifted and looking good and that was it for me. I HAD to have one. George bought me an XJ for Valentine's Day about 3 years ago, we lifted and locked it, and now here I am. And I don't regret one penny we spent!

My girlfriends bf's husband had a lifted rubicon, My girlfriend said I would look hot in one, gave me two g's and signed the loan for my jeep. Done deal.

i honestly cant remember why. i always wanted a cherokee... ever since i was like twelve. im the only kid who dreams of owning a freaking cherokee, lifting it, and putting a snorkel on it. i honestly have no idea why i wanted a cherokee... i wanted either a ZJ or a XJ bc in my mind wranglers were way too small to be useful.

My family always had Jeeps. I grew up in a Grand Wagoneer, and my first ride was my father's Black 1986 Grand Wagoneer. I drove it until I moved out to Pittsburgh.

When I moved back home, I was given my current cherokee.

So, I thank my family for being a jeep person, and I have to thank Will here for getting me into offroading.
