anyone ever deal with banditt regarding some sort of warranty?

i was replacing my steering box side drag link end on my steering since it was shot, only to discover both ends on the drag link are shot. then while loosening the steering box side DRE, i discovered the threaded insert is stretched. this makes the second stretched insert on this setup (the other is on the long side TRE, and its currently "fixed" by being welded from the TRE across the jam nut to the tie rod itself).

the linkage was installed 11/07 by banditt, so its not even 2 years old. my jeep isnt just driving around on the street, but its by no means heavily beat on off road. its not a super big deal to have a local guy make me a drag link but its just a pain in my ass. any thoughts?

I'd call him up and at least let him know what's up, I've met the guy and he seems super reasonable, can't hurt to ask him Righto?

he doesn't have to do anything for ya. but hes a nice guy and might cut it off and weld in a new insert for ya

all of my TRES were shot from him, see if u can get me a couple through warranty as well if you do this..............been awhile

i have personally never had an issue with them.

but yours were shot because you ran with no grease boots or grease

first of all, no they were not shot because of that...the ones i bought afterwards, which came with none, met that result.

second of all, i am pretty sure banditt offers some sort of replacement deal on TREs

the silly poly spacer sucks and once dirt gets in there they is fuct

these are all off the shelf parts at the autismzone and advance and napa anyway, so if ya need one in a pinch you got it.

no way i can lose anymore length on the drag link, its short already. both my TREs are tight as far as i can tell since the drag link is completely off right now and the tie rod is solid. a TRE isnt a big deal, its just another 40 bucks. i'll have another drag link made locally. i thought the other day that the setup was installed last november, but it was 2 novembers ago, so its not under the one year grace period you usually get when it comes to these things.

well the ends are warrantied is the idea, and using his name u can utilize that warranty at said autismzone locations

and i put the dust boot over the poly

both ends were full of healthy grease and were not dirty at all.
