Like i said i don't know the technical aspect of any of this crap, but if this is such a great idea why have manufacturers not taken this idea and ran with it?

            yes they do.

but right now for them to produce hydrogen fuel for cars in mass quanities the price would be outrageous

the OP isn't discussing strictly hydrogen powered cars, it's completely different

same concept, you just make a smaller chamber for the gas with less electrodes. and if youre using a hybrid the voltage (as far as i understand) stays at one level for a constant amount of hydrogen.

let me see if i understand this correctly, i'm totally pulling shit out of my ass so bear with me

same concept, but they are looking for a strictly hydrogen powered car, which can't be done efficiently right now

the whole reason this concept is plausible is because of the energy created by the gasoline engine amirite?

the only way for a completely hydrogen powered car to work, is for the fuel to be seperated before-hand, which hasn't been perfected yet

from what i understand, the same basic system we are discussing can be run with or without gasoline. You would just need a bigger chamber producing the hydrogen and a regulator to produce the gas on demand. But aparently its been done.
