Thanks to everyone who added in donations for our Chrismas gift to the American Red Cross. I just wanted to share this with everyone:
Thank you for your generous gift to support American Red Cross services to members of the military and their families. The Red Cross network of more than 800 chapters and 61 stations helps military members all over the world to communicate with their loved ones in the event of an emergency. Your gift enables the Red Cross to continue its work keeping military families connected during times of crisis. Today, thousands of U.S. service men and women turn to Armed Forces Emergency Services employees and volunteers every day to communicate with their families.
In the span of one year we assisted more than 615,000 families to communicate urgent messages such as a serious illness, death of a loved one or the birth of a child. The Red Cross helps keep military families connected when it matters most. Demand for our services has increased significantly and remains at record levels. Your contribution allows these services to continue. Again, thank you.
The American Red Cross responds to international disasters in coordination with International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners, such as Red Cross, Red Crescent and equivalent societies, to restore hope and dignity to the world's vulnerable people.
