This is a long shot, lookin for a tool

I put a new sprocket and chain on my bike today, however I did not do enough research and got 99% of the way through, to realize that the chain needs to be riveted closed. Similar to how you flare a brake line.

Neither sears or harbor freight carries them. I'd have to order one for 120$, which really pisses me off to spend 120$ just to close this fucking chain.

Sooo....does anyone have one of these?


I'd love to borrow one. I'll pay ya for your troubles or whatever you want to work out.

Yeah the master link is different than I've seen. You have to flare the two open ends so the "flared" portion holds that solid link closed.


I just found a clip style master link for the size and pitch of my chain which I ordered. Its just very frustrating that they send me this stupid fucking thing instead of a 6$ standard clip style.

I bought one for 12$ online. But I'd like to ride whenever its nice out. If I can pick this up from a member and utilize it with my existing link I cam hopefully return it the same day, finish the chain, and keep the master clip link as a spare.
