why do most MJ's have a ton of rust? there is one i've seen that looks like a spotted dog, it has huge rust spots scattered around the bed.

When Mjs were made they had the same rust issues of XJ's, floor pans and rockers.
Plus they did not do much as far as galvanizing the body panels or any inside prep for the bed so on top of standard body rot on the cab the beds rotted to shit.

The first places always to rust is the above the rear flares. There is a shelf that collects dirt and holds water.
