The bane of my existence and the reason im in japan: the f-22





On the fourth of july there was a festival on base called America Fest, local japanese people were allowed on base and we had aircraft on display, food, games, concerts and shit. It was a good time.

I got to meet Gary Gary Sinise, from CSI and also in Forest Gump ( Lt. Dan). Hes a really cool guy, really supportive of the military. Right now hes touring around military bases overseas with his band, the Lt. Dan band. He played here yesterday, put on a good show.




Cody did you work on these peices of junk? This thing was beat to hell, so many scab patches all over it, it looked like it hadnt been painted in 10 years and looked just worn. The pilot who flew it though had his smoking hot girlfriend with him. She was sitting down wearing a super short skirt and wasnt crossing her legs at all. Made for a good view for me.

Patriot missile launchers are ALL over this island. With the threat of North Korea launching missiles at Japan and Hawaii, they were on high alert for the 4th weekend. These things are suppose to be able to shoot other missiles out of the sky.



Old as peice of junk the Japs fly, the F-4 Phantom. This thing is older than anyone on this forum ( even dave ) . Its a hunk of junk compared to anything else out there flying.



You can see the gate the military built around the base, its around 2 stories high, to keep the prying eyes out. So the japanese built a taller building, and now they spy on us from it. They have a pretty clear view of the ramps we work on and sit on top of this building with huge telescopic lenses and photograph everything we do. We cant even work on the jet unless its parked in a hangar because these bastards.

So tha japs are flying our old ass 40 yr old plus air craft? I knew we sold old air craft stripped down to other countries but i figured japan would have something newer by now. Dont any other countries make their own shit or do they all buy old us military aircraft? LOL

Typically most countries who dont build there own, if they are friendly with the U.S. they have our old junk and if they are not friendly with us they generally have old Russian junk.

actually japan flies acouple other jets that are nicer than the F-4. They fly a modified version of our american made F-16s, but its manufactured over here by mitsubushi. Its called the F-2. Its actually got some better features than the f-16, its a really nice jet.



they also fly a version of our f-15, its a J model.



many countries do get our old jets. Iran ( go figure ) is flying our old F-14 tomcats. Turkey has some of our old 15s. F-15s and f-16s are built by American company lockheed martin and are flown by countries all over the world.

Not all countries fly our shit though, you have the Mirages and Eurofighter Typhoons being flied by EU countries, Migs and Sukhois being flown by our "enemies" north korea, russia, china, and others.
