  • Greetings from Japan.( 日本からの挨拶 )

Havent been posting much, finally got internet. Japan is basically an awesome country. I love it here, its in the high 70s low 80s every day. I wont be working nearly as much as I was back in Virginia so ill have plenty of free time to get my self introuble. The drinking age is 20 here and my 20th birthday is in a few days so it should be a good time. The US dollar isnt worth too much here, it will get you about 94 yen which kinda sucks. I plan on scuba diving and exploring this island as much as possible. Ill post up pics when I can.

    Found my sweet van here

A small car dealership. All the cars here a wicked small like these. Ive yet too see really any big vehicles or trucks like we have in the states.

For some reason, the Japanese must love Tommy Lee Jones. His picture is on almost every vending machine labeled boss. And vending machines are everywhere, literally every street corner. My buddy tells me even some of the most secluded places without power will have solar powered vending machines. They sell beer in vending machines too.

A city I walked through today

    24 oz Dews

    Blinging YJ

    Shit was huge

    Lots of lifted yotas here

    Sea wall

Scion xB at the Jew Shop Costs about 14 grand

    American Coffee

I think this was an ad for a restaurant selling dog for lunch

I walked all day to find a Mcdonalds

The food was 100x better than any american mconalds. The fries were so hot that they were still burning my mouth 10 minutes into my meal. The big mac was as perfect as could be. If you ever seen a commercial or picture of a big mac and wondered damn, why doesnt my big mac look like that when I order it. Well guess what, in Japan, it looks just like the ads and commercials. Perfectly made, every peice of lettuce , everything perfect.

I went to a casino and won 30 yen

You guys see this 'Engrish' here??

PASSING THROUGH IS PROHIBITION. I WARN A CHILD.

Speaking of which, do they speak English there? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes unless you ordered your McDonalds food in Japanese.

The first half mile out the gate off base and most of the people speak english, or enough english to get by. When I went to mcdonalds, they did not speak english, but I just pointed to the items on the menu and they rang it up. Some of the signs have some english on too.

I was at the seawall fishing and I had a old guy come up to me and point to my camera. He talked to me in broken english and was super excited to see a Canon camera. He must have thought I was someone rich and important because he kept saying "Very very nice camera take pictures nice zoom very expensive nice camera very very nice"

Looks like an awesome place do some service in. Was the McDonald's fancier over there. I know our friends in Pakistan said they're sit down style there, with servers and a hell of of a lot more expensive. He said to feed himself and his family of 5 was about $75. How long are you stationed there for?

I wouldnt say they are too much more fancy then ones back home, just nicer and cleaner. After each time they cook the fries, they change the oil. I got a nice glass coke glass with my meal . The service was wicked fast and they were super friendly, although there wasnt a server. Prices seemed about the same, maybe even cheaper if the exchange rate wasnt less for the US dollar. Im here till atleast October.
