just got it today, my old kodak was 2 years old and giving me issues, so i just went and got this. Should be taking some sweet pics when im gone this summer.

nice camera, i almost got it. didnt like that fact that it takes 4 AA batteries.

that was the only downfall that I could find with the camera. I wanted to go with a DSLR but adam and will talked me out of it. Im not experienced enough to need it, so I figure this camera will hold me over for like 2 years, and then when I know enough I can step up to something better.

What? lol. Home Depot has like 32 AA batteries for like $12.

you can get 4 rechargeable energizers with charger for 15 bucks. they take 15 minutes to charge too. they are awesome

yeah i asked will about those. My only question was how long will they last versus a 4 pack of lithium's? I may end up going with rechargeable in the near future.

anyone know what this piece is for, does? It attaches to the lens, but is stationary. Doesnt move in out when the lens does. I havent opened the manual yet
