      Its amazing how much a machined piece of metal can go for. I did a roofing job for a company last summer that manufactures the fan shrouds for various airliners as well as some military aircraft, Basically a huge glorified tube of metal, that went for $200,000ish a piece for the ones that went on the Boeing 777

        dealing with lots of aircraft parts, you'd be surprised how much some stupid small shit costs. 2000 bucks for a tiny bag of nuts and bolts, even more for other stupid shit. It blows my mind.

                      my friend mike works at sikorsky, he said that the unit bearing for the output of the gearboxes he makes costs 200,000.
