firefox question

my firefox has usernames and passwords saved for a few sites and certain ones like this one, naxja, facebook etc. logged in automatically. one day randomly all my passwords and usernames were missing. now if i type them in and click save password it will not save, i have to type all my info everytime. the settings seem to be the same as they used to be. anyone know what would cause this???

yea. its in the bookmarks folder in the firefox folder in program files.
