youre in a timed race with a lot at stake for other people with tube frame vehicles with big horsepower who are going to want you out of the way on obstacles
to say jotters way or trail 5 was bumper cars last year would be a huge understatement
not saying you yourself would flip off a ledge into the land of the lost...but i think you underestimate the environment.
at the september race event the only MJ/XJ or whatever it was in the race was literally RUN OVER and "ruined" on CV trail

epic destruction, but will does have quite an extremely relavant point.
not saying its not impossible though.... there was that guy who ran the whole sept course on 35 creepies in a very well built tj. He finished the race, after everyone else, but he made it. When the obstacles get jammed up early in the race in gets real intense, real quick.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

i am in all possible honesty not trying to be a dick at all
i am just trying to shed some light on the thing...if people dont want me to, thats fine..ive been to a lot of the ultra4 events and been in the company of a lot of the competitors, just trying to speak from at least a 3rd person experience level on the matter, i dont claim to be an expert, but id say i do have some idea
it seems to me like it would be a Lot of money to just put together another rig altogether that will pass tech just to race and not be competitive

you should see the laundry list of shit that was wrong with his high dollar rig after the sept endurance race he ran (which was incredibly short btw compared to the RCQ)

like any form of racing, its big money, cause stuff breaks and its big money to build things right the first time through. not saying he didnt fuck his shit up though, i cant even imagine. But still he raced and finished.
