They were pulled apart before I drove it to where it is in that pic. Once I moved the jeep, it put pressure on them and the shafts slid back into the joints. But the ball joint shaft was about 1" out where the shaft snapped.

lol... Stock. Unless they were replaced before I got the truck, which I DONT think they were, they are factory.

Yikes! U-joints have given my hubby many temper tantrums. You don't want to be within throwing distance of anything when he has to change them.

Im going to get another 297 shaft, and then put 760's in both of them.

Hopefully that can hold up to my accidental skinny pedal usage.

i did the 760's they're cheap and i'm guessing strong, i wouldn't know cause i run 31's for the mean time and i think i woulda been fine with 297's but eehhhh doesn't hurt to make things stronger........ good luck junkyard's want too much for that shaft so i'm just waiting for an oppurtunity to steal one or come across one reallly cheap
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

I took that pic after he drove it like 50 feet and the ball joints reseated. When i first looked under the top was fully seperated from the socket though like that other pic.

Yup. The whole knuckle came down about 1" but coming off the rock I was stuck on pushed it back upwards..

wow i never even saw the lower like that when i looked at it. It looks like the lower stayed intact and actually pressed itself out of the knuckle as one piece. When i looked i saw the upper had separated from the socket of the joint like in that picture.
