i agree with you, which is why i laugh at sox fans that try to bash the yankees for their record already (which isn't very much worse than the sox) when there are still over 140 games left in the season

i actually have some respect for boston players who are good, and know something about baseball

i was brought up a sox fan, went to games every so often. never really began following it seriously til a couple years ago

i just know some people personally who come around my work that make it a habit to bring up comments about the red sox, i love the rivalry shit, but when people start getting seriously cocky it bothers me

my boss told me a story from fenway 2 days ago that went something like this

4 Sox fans corner a Yankee fan at Fenway up against a rail

"Don't fucking show your face here again yankee bitch"

Yankee fan trys to laugh it off like a joke...

"You think I'm fucking joking cocksucker, do i look like i'm kidding?"

Sox fan throws his beer on him, also remember it is 4 against 1, nothing the Yank can do.

I literally did not mean you as "one of those yankees" fan. I was making a general statement because around here at school many yankees fans are the fans who know nothing about the team or game and jump the bandwagon because they have the 26 rings. I have loved and followed baseball/softball since i could remember.

I have a lot of respect for many teams, and i just love the rivalry and they are always good games w/ the rival teams. I admit i believe jeter is an excellent player along w/ many other yankees players. But i was brought up red sox and have stuck w/ them all my life. If you know what youre talking about and youre not just there because "oo i have more rings" the better person you are. Im pretty sure most of us in this rivalry have class and respect views of one another even though we say things. As far as i can see no one here is "one of them" and i was making a general statement for those people who are like that.
