  • You know what this forum is missing?

Posts asking what tire to run. That seems to be what Facebook gets by on. So hey everyone, what tire should I run? Whats the best tire???

Please provide stories of the ones your "buddy ran." I have found that is the most helpful piece of data for decision making. Thanks in advance!

If only there was an entire Sticky thread, in an entire forum section, devoted to that exact question Will, then it wouldn't be missing at all!

I prefer a cheap Nankang high mileage tire for cost effectiveness and loss of traction. For the mud bogs at the county fair though, Thornbirds have been my go-to since 1982

I'm running 37x13.5x15 Pitbull Rockers and have been happy with them.

In reality, I got them new BFG At's and they're swell. There hasn't been a trash pile in NYC i haven't been able to run over.

I prefer to run either super swampers or boggers with little to no center tread, but with plenty of life left on the side lugs.

Gumbo Monster Mudders. I had a buddy with them on an F350 powerstroke that used to ran circles around everyone with them in the mud. Never got stuck once. Even in the same holes that swampers and boggers were getting stuck in. Not to mention he got 82k out of a set and he drove the wheels off his truck.

Now stay away from Toyo MT's. I had another buddy with them on a 3500 cummings and they were bald at 10k miles and he drove like a grandma.

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.
