  • What was the nicest Jeep in SiS history?

Now that most of us are adults who can afford a well built Jeep, we don't. And since most of us no longer own a Jeep at all, I'm left to wonder...

Which jeep was the nicest in SIS History?

Now before all you pubE vacuums vote for William and HM (though everyone knows DM was far superior) I want you to think long and hard, maybe even visit the old forums build section.

I'm talking overall best here... the most well rounded machine.

    Things to consider...
    How capable offroad?
    How capable onroad?
How frequently was it not running?
    Coolest looking?
    Nicest looking?
    Longevity?

    Wide-J?
    Shitbox?
Phil's silver demon dented from front fender to front fender?
    HM?
    FRED!?
    War Wagon?
    FRED!?
    Corey's Comanche?

...just a few that come to mind that I personally feel make the list.
Is it egg nog season yet?

Corey's Comanche was always one of my favorites, I was sad to see that one go.

This is a great question. Justin's CJ was so cool as well.

No love for the WJ crowd

Honestly a tough call tho. Every jeep that got driven to the trail left them stranded at some point, my WJ included thanks to a neglected output seal. Some more than others. Phil's Jeep always went through every trail with blatant disregard, but never stopped. Corey's Manche was quite marvelous even when it was on 33s. Fred. The wide J was pretty awesome, but had an affinity to shred oil filters on the trail when I saw it. Alex's red XJ was nice as was Andrews two door.

            Going with Phil.

That blatant disregard for trees, rocks, dents, doors, and windows, carries (carried?) that Silver Frankenstein-esque monster a long way

Wide-J and Fred's TJ were the two that opened my eyes to the full spectrum of Jeep glory though, as before that my exposure was all XJ variety from Big Bore and Heavy, so they hold key spots in my memories too.

In the end I think Ima have to agree; Phil's silver rolling dent. Where some jeeps have disappeared, it only recently has really been put into semi-retirement (a distinction I also make with Heavy; comes out when there's badassery to be done but not DDed anymore)

Every time I saw Fred's Jeep it was broken.

Well, yes... But there were those good 15-20 seconds each run where it WASN'T.

Corey's Manche always had my penis at attention.

We've had some solid rigs in this club.
