  • Trip to the arctic circle

I know a few of you have seen this on Facebook but I am so stoked on this trip I wanted to share here, ya know, on our forum, that facebook is ruining. Haha

I got the chance to travel from Whitehorse, Yukon Territory Canada, down to British Columbia, and then up the Alcan highway to Fairbanks, and then north to 100 miles deep into the arctic circle on the Dalton "Highway", and then to Anchorage and Whittier. One of the coolest trips ever. The trip to the Arctic circle and back was done in one day, 7.5 hours each way.

If you are ever offered the chance to go to Alaska (or remote Canada for that matter), take it. What a bad ass rugged wilderness.

This video we made documents a lot of our trip.

I have to agree. Alaska was a great trip. My brother lives on Mt. Magnificent just outside Anchorage. I've been up twice to see him and have been to the Denali Park, Cheno Hot Springs, Seward, Whittier, Homer and North Pole, Alaska. The drive up the Dalton is great though.

Here are a couple pics from my trip. No video and the pics just don't do it justice at all.

Off the back deck of my brother's house

Couple wildlife pics I took while driving or on my brother's boat

              And a couple scenery pics

And a shot I took of the Salty Dawg Saloon in Homer before I went in for a drink just because it was a really cool place.

I was there in the first two weeks of June. I've got a lot of pictures with ice blocks floating down the rivers, etc. from the thawing season.

If anybody is looking for a house in Alaska, my brother has his on the market. His wife is tired of being away from everybody and wants to come back to the mainland.
