so about 6 weeks ago i decided to pull the trigger on this:

    https://goo.gl/photos/Lrz2TktWEVf5u3tKA

    2016 aprilia Shiver 750 (non-ABS)

little backstory on it (and me (as a rider)).

I have been riding for around 6 years now and this just kinda happened. Previously I was perched atop a 1997 GSX-R 600, however with it creeping up on the 50,000 mile mark and being my first and only bike for those 6 years, shes tired. Well over the midpoint of this summer a good friend of mine loaned me his "potentially for sale" 2001 Monster 750 Dark. What a game changer that was for me, comfort AND fun?! how could that happen?!?!? Well without another word it happened $2000 later and a handshake and it was in my garage. So there I was enjoying my time on the new to me Monster 750, then I made the mistake of letting my "pseudo-sister" (we have known each other since we were kids) ride it. Her reaction was too priceless to leave it be. I had a bike, she didn't, plus the Monster just didnt have enough power for me. weeeell now she has a Monster 750 Dark LOL. That being said the aprilia just 'fit' what I wanted. A new bike that was no more than $225 a month. I was caught between the 2016 Suzuki GSX-S 750 and the Yamaha FZ-09, a dealer over in New Haven cut my friend a sweet deal on a Ducati and we just started throwing numbers out. the Shiver came on the table and I just HAD to have it! I just had him order me one, never saw it on anything but paper prior to getting it here in the States.

So far at 520 miles I am incredibly pleased with how wonderful this machine is. It handles like something out of a dream, the power is lacking a bit but then again I am used to a geared down 600cc sportbike and I haven't had the chance to take it over 6000RPM yet aside from a wheelie that I got a bit carried away with and went to 9000RPM on accidento LOL. The everyday ride-ability and chassis are absolutely amazing however and I long for the time I can take it to a track and see what shes really capable of.

Anyhow, I digress sometimes. its sique. If you want a semi-exotic moped to take some pics of, Will or any of the photographic wonders here...just ask Im game for long ass road trips this upcoming summer. (may require nightly shelter and a bonfire).

That's a nice looking bike. I have a buddy with a 2013 GSX-S 750 that I have ridden a couple times and it is very comfortable. Your Aprilia and that style of bike is a great compromise of sport and cruiser.

Ha I know the gixxus is slick too. But I wanted something different. And this is even more comfortable than the Suzuki.
