  • Have you ever been patrowned?

Have you ever bought what you thought was a reliable vehicle from a decrepit old man name Alex patrono? Only to get it home and find out it's not what you ecpected? Well you have been patrowned. Have you ever have the yoke fall off in the first 30 miles you were driving it? Or a control arm rip off or find out the brakes are sun par? You've patrowned. Beware of this awnry old car salesman. It may be the last thing you do.

I loved my Patronomobile. Granted it was a giant hunk of shit by normal peoples' standards, with 270k on it or some ridiculous number. Of course if I filled the tank all the way it would piss fuel everywhere, it stunk permanently like gear oil and had very little floors left, but it never once left me stranded anywhere. I would always laugh at the douchebags at college who whined about their "junk" car (like an 04 civic with 90k on it) and how they were worried about making it home, which was like half the distance that I would have to travel. It was a sad day when I dragged its carcass to the scrap yard, but some of its parts and pieces will live on in the comanche.

My bill of sale said as is I would have liked to have known about the axle rot...but hell I could a looked too....in the end I got exactly what I wanted an XJ that was relatively unmolested, cheap, and needed some TLC and a lift. What more could you ask?

Who ever told you that you bought a reliable vehicle?! you bought an xj that I got from an auction with 228k miles which I proceeded to take offroad the day I got it. I then lifted it immediately and went wheeling as much as possible. Honda is having great sales if you want a daily driver haha

I have bad memory? If I recall you said it was an LP D30

Not that it had rotted shock and control arm mounts.

Please don't feel like I'm being a dick...I'm really not mad at all and for all I remember you did tell me that and I forgot in my moment of passion for getting an XJ lined up literally the day my old one was retired LOL

It's ok, Alex. My experience with posts like this is if you confronted him in person on it, he would say he was "drunk" and then fully admit he was wrong.

Ian I said it was a lp and was rusted pretty good but I got it from Hux for cheap just to have something and you said you were gonna put the hp in anyway. I enjoy this thread, it's bringing back the ball busting routine

I've been Patrowend... but it had nothing to do with buying a car... He lured me in with Ravines and then tried to touch my no-no places...

And then he tried to sell me an XJ.... so yeah, nevermind, I guess it does have to do with buying a car.
