  • Three Favorite Pieces of Camping Flair

Tis' camping season again and I want to know what your top three, can't do without gear items.

    For Me:

1)MSR HubbaHubba: Such a bombproof ultralight tent. Never gotten wet in it and even after breaking poles in it, MSR sent me free replacements, no questions asked.

2)ENO Doublenest: Nothing is sweeter than hanging a hammock up, whenever and wherever you want. This thing pretty much accompanies me on every outdoor activity I participate in. Get the double to improve your chances of romance.

3)Big Agnes Aircore Mattress: There is no way you could get me to sleep on the ground, ever again, without this thing. 2.5" of insulated aircore, I can sleep on my side and not feel like I was in a horse-drawn carriage accident the next day.

          2. Beat up old Coleman stove + lanterns
          3. 4 lbs of bacon (3 day trip)
          4. All of the hotdogs.

                        Im anti-air mattress.
I'd love a hammock tent but I get motion sick. Lmao.

                        1) Cot tent.
                        2) Camping Chair
                        3) Charcoal grill.

Up until I bought the cot tent, all of my gear combined cost under $50..

The BA Aircore is a sleeping pad, packs down to the size of a juniorleague football.

I like the idea of cots, just not the weight.

It's definitely just for car camping. Didn't you bring one down to RC one time?

It's great, again, just heavy, and huge to transport. After spending a decade of camping in the rain (one of God's little gifts to me) I decided I was done packing up a tent that spent the night in a puddle. I woke up swimming down in PA, I packed all my shit, walked my tent to a dumpster and bought the cot tent.
