Should I trade? Or keep it?

I have a 1999 Honda CR250r. Awesome bike, it has been great to me. I am looking to get a quad and my friend has a 2005 Honda trx450r. Its a very nice quad. It has maybe 20hrs on it.
He said he would trade me if I gave him the bike and $1700. I've been trying to sell my bike for quite some time now and yet to have someone actually come through and buy it The quad is easily worth well over $3000. I just don't know what to do! Whats your opinion?

My best friend had a 450r, holy shit one of the nicest quads i ever rode, i probably would do that in a heartbeat.

I've been looking for a 400ex. Some guy wanted to trade me an 01 400ex fully loaded for my bike. He never came through!

a 450r is easily worth more than 6 grand (i forgot the retail) for a quad that has less than 20 hrs on it, i don't see why the hell you wouldn't trade a 99cr and 1700 for an expensive quad


btw 450r is 10x better than a 400ex

i was looking at 400ex's and 450r's and would rather have the 450. but if you don't want to spend the cash hold out for a 400. people sell them all the time, just wait for this kid to sell his quad and buy your bike

He doesn't really want the bike. He just wants the $$$ for his down payment on a cruiser. He said he would sell me the quad for $3000. I said nah. I'm not gonna dump cash. I need shit for the jeep. And a couple days later he said ok. Your bike and $1700.

I hate being in this situation.
