anyone look into eating them? i know i know, it sounds crazy. but ive been watching alot of that show Bizarre Foods and doing some reading online about it, and honestly it sounds like a good idea for an easily maintainable, inexpensive and regenerative food source. i havent had the opportunity to try anything yet, but given the opportunity, i would give it a go. the particularly interesting one i was looking into was utilizing roasted crickets, ground and milled into flour. for the most part it works the same as a basic all purpose flour, but the nutrient value is insane in comparison. as youre all sitting here cringing reading this, the problem is not that bugs are gross, the problem ive learned is that people, americans in particular, have been convinced over the centuries that utilizing insects as a food source was somehow primative and unclean. and while its seemingly frowned upon here, much of the worlds population still eats insects as a normal part of their daily diet. is anyone on board with me on this?
