are you wheeling or just driving on the road?
    Big difference.

I would bring spare electronic stuff small cheap but when they fail your stuck completely dead. Most other stuff you can limp home.

    Crank, Camp position sensors.
    Coil, Computer,
    Alternator sounds good.
    Maybe a starter
    Fuel Pump
    Belt and Rad hoses.
I cannot think of anything else off the top of my head that will just leave you dead.

    Tools is another discussion

Both. It is "overlanding" so no hardcore technical wheeling, but off road nonetheless, and plenty of pavement too.

Speaking of tools...vice was an excellent suggestion. What would be some Jeep/application specific tools people would bring? Not wrenches and stuff that would be normal to own, but stuff like a 36mm socket for shaft changes, so on.

Extra cotter pins, those are easy to take spares of, throw them into the bag with the zip ties.

Nothing wrong with a prybar or some punches.

Overland in some world countries could be just as tough as technical

ill reword for the sake of semantics

not hitting black trails just for the sake of wheeling hard rocks

A lot has been listed. Sounds like you need a need a chase truck.

                          For the electric
I always bring a test light. Jumper wires
Spare fuses are good, they also sell breaker fuses you can reset but pricey.
I also bring my a snap-on vantage to check any sensor but most people don't have that.

                          Tire Plugs,
The fix anything epoxy for fuel tanks radiators etc.
Do the fuel lines to the fuel pump use any special tools to get the fuel lines off.
13mm 12point socket to get unit bearings off.
Trans cooler lines, fuel line. Hose Clamps. O-rings
Brake line plugs Just get some Brake master fittings and short piece of line and weld the line closed. At least you can keep most of your brakes working.
Exhaust clamps make sure you have a few good ones on your exhaust you can use them to fix a broken leaf spring.
If you can afford a readywelder would be sweet.

A few more spare parts I thought of.
                          You have an AW4 correct?
Did you ever swap over your trans cooler line connectors to AN fittings?
If not I would bring some spare trans cooler line adapters, just 1 plastic clip will ruin your day. NAPA sells them. NOE 7304978
I depending how comfortable with transmissions you might want to bring spare solenoids You can swap them by dropping the pan.
I would also bring the wiring diagram to bypass the computer or bring a spare trans computer.

You don't need the the jeep to run perfect just run well enough.
So things like injectors, Temp sensors, thermostats, TPS, IAC, Brakes, etc you can by may run a little rough but wont leave you dead. You can steal plug wires from any car.

                          Have fun
                          ~Justin
