  • I think I have a problem...

With buying tools lol. matco guy came in yesterday and asked me if I knew anyone looking for a plasma cutter, he has one a guy burned him on and it needs to go. 400$ under retail. Uh, yeah, of course I do!
So after a little conversation I told him if he could make it fit on my credit account that I wanted it.
So long story short, I own a new Matco 240v plasma. 1/4" cut 1/2" sever. They say 3/8" clean. I have to get a plug wired on it and a compressor over to the shop.
I guess it will work well for making brackets and accessories to go with our JD2 model 32 bender that will be on its way shortly.
    Dan.

    Totally jealous.

Currently saving for a nice welder (eyes set on a miller 252) and a nice air compressor. (Looking for a used IR one.)

I think we might have the same problem.

Droppin in, Dan do yourself a favor and buy the swag mount and harbor freight 8ton air over hydraulic cylinder..SO WORTH IT..as long as you have a compressor to run it. But even if you have one thats a little underpowered its so much better then mounting it in concrete. Ive actually been working the shit out of mine ... now get to work!

and yes something is going in the center.

Did you already measure out the inner tubes to match up to the roof tubes?
Yeah I think Im going to get the swag offroad kit too. If nothing else to have it mobile will be worth it.

Yea thats really the first step because where the pillars poke through the roof dictates the whole design. Mine uses the A, B, and C pillars with extra support for C. I actually have all of the pillars made but havent taken any pics yet.
