Ive been thinking about this a bit lately after being called a racist by 2 separate neighbors. (who both live in the same 3 family rented dump of a house in front of me)
This started a couple years ago when I politely asked my neighbor (N) to trim their tree that was growing into my power lines. I tried to be nice for over a year. Long story short I ended up doing it my self.
I came home one day and the guy is outside and said something about the trees. I said, yeah good job getting on top of that one ass hole. Then he tells me he thought CL&P came and did it. I said you would have had to actually call them for that to happen you moron, and proceded to loose my cool and lay into this dip shit. (Now 2 years later with all kinds of other issues with them).
So in between all of this my wife had an altercation with his wife, so as Im yelling at him he calls us racist. Then calls my wife racist. The best part is his wife is white! So Im like my white wife is racist for yelling at your white wife?
So fast forward to a couple months ago, the house is rented now by some upstanding hispanic family. I come home the other day and they are outside blasting music from their car. I make sure they see me and go in the house, assuming that like any normal person of reasonable intelligence they would turn it down. But no, not these fine people. So I go out side and tell one to turn it down. He tells me to make him. After going inside to get my shotgun to put an end to their speaker box I cooled down a bit. When my wife came home she got fired up and went outside and started to MF them. I went out to keep her out of trouble and they are calling us racist.
So I tell them, I only have a problem with one kind of person, a stupid one. If you are stupid, than I dont like you. If thats racist than Im racist.
My feelings on the subject are that if you want to act like a piece of shit, than I will treat you like a piece of shit, whether you are black, white, asian, latino, or whatever.
Also in my opinion most stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason, they came from something, and its your choice to fit in to them or not.
And yes. Im a Jew. And yes, I am cheap.
