Disclaimer before I even begin: I don't smoke, yet I have absolutely no problems with people smoking or being around people smoking. Doesn't really bother me.
Read an article that said that European nations are banning menthol cigarettes, "slim" cigarettes, and regulating e-cigarettes. While harsh, this pales in comparison to Australia which doesn't even allow company logos on cigarette packs, replacing them with morbid pictures of cancerous lungs and dead people.

In the U.S., lawmakers have attempted to pass Australian-like rules, but courts ruled that it violated tobacco companies' free speech.
What are your thoughts on this? On one hand, people have smoked cigarettes for a long time and should be allowed to continue to do so. On the other, they are rather unhealthy and the effects of second-hand smoke may mean that smoking affects more than the smoker.
