  • Can anyone replace my harmonic balancer? $$ food beer

I will pay someone in food or beer or money or whatever. I literally do not have the time and need it done this week so I can use the Jeep for a project. I have a huge backlog of work. Its an easy job I wish I could just do.

Let me know if anyone is down to do this. Available when you are.

I have the parts. Its my 2000 XJ. The belt jumped off and it has been squeeking (the bearing), i can only assume because its out of spec and worn (the balancer). I have a new belt, balancer, and idler pulley.

I am goderating and putting this in the shenanigans forum due to its urgency.

    im in shelton

Well the Jeep doesnt drive as a result, so, yeah. belt came off and i dont feel like putting it back on for it to jump off while driving and going on a whole nother adventure. when i say i have no time i mean i cant even afford the time to drive it somewhere and hang out while its worked on

^I feel its pretty straight forward. Pull crank pulley, put puller on balencer, pull balencer, put keyway insert back in notch on crank, slide on new balencer, suck in using bolt. Air tools make it a quicker process
