For those who don't pay attention to the world around them, here is the cliff notes of whats going on.

Hernandez, 23 from Bristol, CT, the Patriots TE who just signed a 5 year $40m contract, has been charged with first degree murder. He took the guy who was dating his girlfriend's sister down a gravel road only a mile from his house, ordered him out of the car, then shot him 5 times with a .45. He then proceeded to go home, destroy his cell phone, surveillance footage, and have his house cleaned. Needless to say, he didn't clean up all the evidence. Nice job, Aaron.

Bail was denied and Hernandez, who stood expressionless through most of the arraignment, remained in custody.

Veracity vs. Relevance

It does not prove he killed anyone. He was with the victim and obviously knows what went down. Murder 1 takes a lot more to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Hernandez actually shot the guy. For a murder trial there is a huge difference between I was there and I shot him.

Evidence is a tricky thing.

My questions:

Where is the gun? Where was is obtained? Has it ever been used in any other crimes?

This fool has people saying that he may have killed before. We will see what happens. But, for a first degree murder trial that prosecutor can take that timeline and pound sand. We will be hearing about a lot more about Mr. Hernandez.
