thats a hot little car. wonder if its a 3 cylinder or a 4. if its the 1.3 seeing as how it appears to be an autocrosser.....i bet it does REALLY well i would have replied sooner but someone stuck me in the void!

They're running a mid engine conversion with the driverrain out of a 98 ford contour SVT (V6) making it a very very snappy car....yes I think I do have a little like for GP

Hey everyone! Did a google search trying to find out if there were any random pics of our car floating around and found this thread! I am team cheerleader/photographer of the Knoxvegas Lowballers and would love to relay and answer any questions you guys have about the car! We debuted the Geo at the 24 Hours of LeMons spring opener in Kershaw SC and are getting ready to head to Chicago next week for our 2nd race of the year. We have done 4(?) autocrosses this year, mostly using them as a chance to flog the car and work out some kinks!

Currently the team is in the garage taking the current engine out, contour SVT engine we stole out of a team mates Daily Driver when our original V6 escape engine decided to murder itself on day 1 of the race, and replace it with another Escape engine.

If you want to see any specific pics let me know! If I dont already have a pic of it, I can run down and snap it!

Also here is a video from an autocross we did last weekend. The clunk noises would be the suspension sucking.... just ignore those.

really awesome build, ian loves his, and im thinking about trying to pick one up now if i can find it with low rust. i would love to see some close up pics of how the motors tied in

I'll get more info on how the motor got installed when I get a guy out of the garage. We opted for the wagon version of the Geo so that we would have more room for the engine in the back. Removed what was left of the original Geo engine and replaced that with a fuel cell. Cut out as much extra material as we could. And mounted the new Ford V6 Escape engine to the subframe. Escape engine blew up on day one of our first LeMons race, no big deal, we have a daily driver contour that we brought with us! Finished swapping engines around 4:30 AM finish the race after some more drama but still had a blast and won Heroic Fix. Currently they are swapping the contour engine for another Escape engine.
