a woman called into the elvis duran show this morning with this story:

supposed to be getting married tomorrow. came home from bachelorette party (same night as fiances bachelor party) to find her fiance and mom in bed together.

groomsmen & fiance both claiming fiance was blacked out drunk. fiance claims he has no idea what's going on/why wedding is cancelled.

mom is married (2nd marriage) and was supposed to walk daughter down the aisle tomorrow.

let's say the situation was switched...you find your fiance with your dad, etc.

do you leave for good? do you blame the parent? is being blacked out an excuse?

if you think about it though, it really is a hard call to make. let's say the fiance really is completely blacked the fawk out drunk and has NO idea what is happening. and then the mom/dad/whoever takes full advantage of them. obviously i'd be furious at the parent, but if they are so out of it and weren't the one to initiate it, or even remember anything...what do you do?

I would take a leave of absence/ short term disability due to mental distress, inform both parties that I'm going away for a while to figure my shit out and buy a plane ticket to somewhere and just travel solo for a few months. In all honesty, I would probably have an easier time getting over her sleeping with my father compared to my own father cheating on me.
