The Fishing Thread

With spring upon us I am starting to get my gear in order. Last year I purchased a kayak and got to use it a few times. This coming season I am going to try to hit it hard.

I would like to plan an SiS fishing outing. We can go to the sound or the housitonic river. For you out of towners, maybe we could make it part of a meet n greet.

Please post if you are close to Milford and own a kayak.

For those who dont have a kayak I would like to meet up for some shore fishing.

I am in Milford and able to go anytime during the weekend.

Also, I make my own snelled leaders. If you would like some just let me know. I can make any size hook with and type of line.

I also make custom snapper rigs for later in summer.

Lastly, I have some tube setups for stripers.

I can post pics of this stuff if you like.

Let me know if this would be something y'all would be interested in.

Walnut/Silver Sands would be a good place for a meet n greet. As for the type of fish.. I always go for Stripers, fluke, blues, and snappers. What would really be nice would be a trip out to Charles Island. If we could do it later in the summer it would be better because the sand sharks will be around. Plus the blues often frenzy on bunker right off the island.

I am game to do whatever. Lets talk more and try to nail down a date range that works for everyone. Once we get an organized plan we can make an event thread.
