I know you have a slew of guns, and probably have shot 10 times as many as you own, so i'm looking to you for some assistance. in the somewhat near future i'm going to be buying my first gun. i'm not new to shooting, i've shot a .22, .223, .308, .30-06, and a 12 gauge. i'm just looking for a fun gun for the range. i don't hunt so i don't need anything like a .300 win mag, but something fun would be nice. i shot my friend's .308 yesterday and i really liked it. not too much kick, but enough to let you know you pulled the trigger. i'm leaning towards that, unless you can advise me otherwise

I just got a ruger 10/22 for a couple hundred bucks and ammo is stupid cheap. Like $20 for 500 rounds

Shooting at a formal range gets boring after a while.

Shotgun shooting for me is the most fun because you are shooting a moving, reactionary target.

22s are great because you can load them up with CB caps and shoot them in your back yard.

that's true, i've never skeet shot. it's probably really fun though

For the price of a good 308, you can get a good pump action 12 gauge AND a .22. Jussayin.

You're not going to buy an AR for a reasonable price these days, so just stay clear of them unless you want to sacrifice your first born.

yeah an AR is out of the picture, for at least the immediate future. i was also looking at the ruger mini 14. but .223 is like gold now so it's hard to find
