i'm not much of a football fan but this is bigger than that in every way. this is a massive hoax, whether he was involved or not.

to answer your question Nick, as much as i find it hard to believe that he was fooled by this whole thing and had nothing to do with it, i really hope it's true that he had no idea. it's entirely possible to have an emotional relationship/connection like he did with technology and online dating now and with the schedule he must have for school and football i'm sure he wasn't back home much.

i heard one news report saying that he had met her once, but they even said that they weren't sure what was true because there's so much controversy over it right now. i'm interested to see what else comes out about it tomorrow though. either way it's a shame someone could exploit the situation that way, especially with lies about such a terrible illness.
