I'm going to repost what I told Joe (and Armand) when he first put leaf springs up front...because it's funny.

Normally, I would let a response like this go, allowing others to see fault in their opinion and then move on with their lives, but I’m a really big dumb stupid fish and I’m taking the bait. As others have noticed, I really don’t give a fuck anymore about what you people do. I’m trying to live out my care free, pessimistic life and avoid as much human contact as possible. Then this thread comes along and here I am, faced with this response. I don’t actually know what to say.

Oh wait, yes I do. Congratulations. You just pulled the ‘Generic Cliché Response’ card out and you still have the ‘Guilt Trip’ card in your hand ready to play. Way to be different.

Let’s take what you just said and play some fucking ADLIBS with it. I’m going to replace some words and you tell me how it stacks up in the real world.

See what I did there? See how absolutely pathetic and shallow your response is? I just changed a few select words and I can go to a movie making forum and fucking post a movie about me taking a dump on some girl’s face, then have everyone tell me it is fucking Bad, then continue to make another name and post what I quoted exactly and no one will know that you, from an offroad forum, posted it first using ‘Fabrication’ instead of ‘Movie’.

                      Let’s do it again.

Same changes, different words; aren’t I fucking amazing? I can do this all day long and not even break a sweat. It really was painful reading your generic reply and this had to be said. At no point do you defend the fact that Joe butchered his jeep by replacing a more modern suspension with an archaic one.

If you guys want to show off you elite fabrications skills how about you: FABRICATE SOMETHING THAT ISN’T DETRIMENTAL TO THE JEEP’S PERFORMANCE AND DRIVING ABILITY.

Has that sunk in yet? Do you understand why I bring the hate in groves? I don’t hate Joe’s Fabrication, I hate the fact that he converted his front end to Leaf Springs and then you come here and defend his Fabrication Skills. What drugs are you on because I require some. I am not a Fabricator at all, I’m a machinist and a Gunsmith and I will tell you right now what Joe did is absurd, blasphemous, careless, defective, erroneous, fallacious, godawful, horrendous, inferior Junk compared to what other people with the same skill level have fabricated in the past.

Thanks for your time, and next time, don’t be so fucking Dumb."

me too but I want a 68ish k20. If you don't like this then I don't think we can be friends

A C50 would be much more practical.

But I'd stab somebody for a NapCO converted 4wd medium duty truck.

That's where my screen name comes from. I used to build the 67-72 Chevy trucks. Favorite body style, I had a bunch. Love them. All 2wd though.
On the other side of things, I love how a one ton Cherokee on leafs is perfectly acceptable but somehow joes wasn't. In its last state it was very similar to a lot of builds on pirate. Cherokees that worked well, and on a budget. Would I do it? No. But that doesn't mean its wrong, just not for me.
I wheeled with Joe a few times, on 35's with leafs and with tons a Carb'd v8 and leafs and I was impressed all the times out with how well it worked. I really wish he would have kept it, don't a tpi or tbi swap and kept wheeling it.
