This gun control "discussion" is a fucking joke. People are making me sick. No wonder there are no .223s on the shelf at Hoffman's in Newington, most everyone in this country can see through the bullshit and is doing everything they can do get their hands on something to protect themselves.

Phil I also heard someone call a .223 a high powered round. I cannot believe the ignorance in this "discussion". I use quotations because it is nothing more than an attack on responsible gun owners.

The problem is the 223 is a 'high powered' rifle, but only when referring to the sport of target shooting. Normal target shooting is done with a 22 Long rifle, so anything center fire becomes 'high power'...so then it becomes the term being used as a buzzword and people think the 223 is capable of taking out trains, planes, and automobiles as well as African Rhinos and Elephants.

Sorry, the .223 is just barely good enough for killing Deer.
