I went with #1.
I am not a die hard fan of either to be honest. To me though if you are gong fast, there should be a reason. With the rock bouncers they are just hammer down wheeling by braille, with no specific outcome. The only competitiveness is who can bounce higher over a rock. I dont even really like watching them.
Ultra 4 is real racing, competition, and I think what they do seems more feasible for the average person to do.
Took option 1, but I'm not sure it's a legitimate comparison.
The stage/level of competition for the two are very skewed. Ultra 4/desert racing is such a high dollar, octane filled type of competition it's hard for any rock bounce weekend showdown to compare.

Pretty fair comparison since the build prices of each rig are pretty damn close.

There are alot of guys racing ultra 4 on budgets that just cover the motors in those rockbouncers.
Most of the cost to race ultra 4 comes from that, racing. Constantly replacing parts, travel, prep, etc.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

a prius and a trophy truck both have their place but that doesnt mean im picking the prius and putting 4" fox shox on it
option 1 or 2 nig.
Also...where place?
I prefer both. Lol.
The reason I like rock bouncing over ultra4 is that it is something I can see myself doing in my lifetime. Meaning I can relate to it. Granted I won't be a Timmy Cameron with a fuckin wildly expensive rig every year but I can build something that could do that we'll.
The reason I like ultra4 over rock bouncing is be cause it is just plain cool. the cars are progressing our sport and it is becoming a wildly awesome race series. But to be competitive it seems you gotta have lottttttts of money

Tell that to Lucas Murphy, he's racing on a budget and has always done well.
And a solid axle truck won KOH this past year, am i wrong? There is nothing that shows you need to be in a quater million dollar IFS car to be competitive. Is it harder without the money, of course. But it's definitely not impossible.
