What's my comanche worth?

Couple months ago a kid stopped by my house asking if my truck was for sale and I told him no, but I showed him it anyways because he seemed like a nice kid. He asked me what I would take for it if I was selling it and I said somewhere around $5 thousand? That sort of got me thinking about what I could replace it with for the money but as time passed it faded. Now two days ago he stops by again and offers me $4500 for it and I'm having a hard time finding a reason to say no.

The only time I drive the truck now is for towing the boat/chevelle or when the weather conditions are bad. I can think of a few vehicles for the money that would tow much better! Let it go or what? Am I under or over selling it?

I would keep it, think about the work you just put into it, You obviously don't have that kind of time anymore so why get rid of it..? I would move forward with the build as you had orgin planned and put a small lift with some tires on it.

I'd say it's all up to your opinion. That thing looks fawkin awesome, but I would def say it wasn't made for towing. I don't think you're going to get a cool factor replacement that'll do the same job for 5 grand. That being said, if you can put some additional money in you could get a nice lookin truck that'll out perform the comanche on the road no problem. On the other hand, you own the comanche and you're not going to see minty fresh comanches all over the road like you would a replacement tow vehicle.

I'd keep it. Yes, you can get enough to buy a decent 4WD tow rig to replace it with, but all the work you put into it makes it sentimentally worth more.

If you were really looking I'd use that in trade for money off a truck... Otherwise keep it and buy yourself something different all you need is a 1/2 ton for a boat and the Chevelle. Heck I would even consider buying an SUV to tow... it would be a toy hauler, winter rig, and people mover.

Eh im just not that sentimental about cars I guess. Might just let it go. I think $4500 is fair
