  • Pistol question

So my mom just got a new pistol. Rock Island Armory 1911 Tactical. overall im very impressed with it, feels like a quality firearm and works beautifully the only complaint that i have so far is it really only likes hardball ammunition because the feed ramp is a little steep. however that can be fixed easily. on the other hand i also like my dads Ruger Blackhawk in .41 Mag (just something about a wheel gun that makes me all warm and tingly) SO forum, what do you prefer....a semi-auto or a wheel gun?

hell i dunno, after putting a few cylinders through dads ruger a while back theres just something really cool about cramming 6 of those gigantic cartridges in the tubes and racking each one with the smooth pull and click of the hammer and taking aim downrange. not only hitting what youre aiming at but precisely where you wanted it to go. semis are cool but revolvers are too...im just torn i suppose, i need both

I dont understand why people keep asking gun questions on this forum. No one on SiS likes guns.

Semi-auto= larger capacity, easier to reload and store mags, but more likely to fail

Revolver= simple and works, no shells left behind.

I like semi-auto flatter guns and today's guns are pretty reliable.
                  Plus revolvers cannot be silenced.

That Is the only kind of revolver that can be silenced. That is because when fired the barrel seals against the chamber. Nagant gas seal revolver.

true true, but none the less its still silenced, and for an 80 dollar pistol...
of course i would never buy a nagant pistol
