They have a bad rap for a reason. People breed them to fight. People don't breed labs or fucking Chihuahua's to fight. They are aggressive animals and can fuck shit up. I would a done the same thing as a the cop, although I gotta say it was tough to watch. That cop wasn't thinking "man pitbulls get such a bad rap even tho other breeds harm more people than them. Dizzy, I wonder if you actually reside in the realm that the rest of us live in. Your emotions are getting the best of you. Every other day I read stories about how cops go into houses and they shoot the family dog because they got attacked, no breed gets special attention, if they attack, they get fucking shot, that's the end of it. Cops aren't going to take the chance and get mauled just because it's a lab.

I'll tell you what, I'm sure if that dog that charged the officer was an Irish Wolfhound, a Rhodesian Ridgeback or a Caucasian Shepherd, I'm sure that dog would have gotten shot all the fucking same and the woman would have overreacted all the fucking same. The Wolfhound kills wolves, the Ridgeback kills Lions and the Caucasian Shepherd is the meanest fucking dog on this side of the planet, but guess what, they don't get the mention because they aren't the choice breed of dog for Big Papa Nig and the Gang Bangers. You don't see them being walked around inner cities by their owners, in fact you rarely see them at all. A pit in the inner city is like the Rottweiler of yesterdecade, a specific breed of dog that is bred for fighting and they are well known for their ferocity. Don't blame me for stereotypes, they exist because, well, they're true.

But what do I know, right? I don't own a dog that has a right leg of a pit bull so I'm not magically in love with them nor do I have any special attachment to them, especially ones that attack. So go ahead, make parallels about shooting my cat because, goddamn, I can remember that time Vandal charged me at full speed and couldn't wait to get picked up and given an ice cube, and all those babies and people he has mauled in the past; mauled with love.

Regardless, your irrational and blatantly emotionally charged responses are laughable at best. Rather than be an apologist and jump on the bandwagon of trying to find alternate solutions in a split second decision, you should maybe try thinking rationally about the subject and see that the officer was not only a quick draw, but a dead on shot, too; a vary rare case amongst most officers these days. I actually feel bad for the officer that he had to put that dog down the way he did because I'm sure that if the dog was just sitting there, or had been at the owner's side rather than charging, the circumstances would have changed and the outcome would have been different and the dog would still be alive today.
