Naked burglar shot in chest by homeowner

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 25-year-old naked man was shot in the chest after allegedly breaking in and trying to rob a home in Milford.
Benjamin Prue is in critical condition at Yale New Haven Hospital after he was shot in the chest by a 67-year-old man.
The man called police around 10 p.m. Saturday night to report Prue had broken into his house on Point Lookout and was trying to steal a television set.
The resident told police he pleaded with Prue to leave his home, but when a fight broke out, the man shot Prue in the chest.
Officers found Prue in the water a short distance from the home.
A neighbor told News 8 the homeowner did have some noticeable injuries.
"I think the man was hurting him," said Linda Chaffin. "I think the man was hurting him, he had some lacerations, he had a bite, I think the man was hurting him. I don't think the man was in his right mind at all, like maybe he was crazy already or maybe he was on drugs and crazy, I don't know, but he wasn't well.
Police also found Prue's car with it's truck open a near the home. Inside police found crack cocaine and paraphernalia used to ingest it, which were seized as evidence.
