I hear ya. Armand and I went to get an axle last weekend from a guy I found on craigslist. We had a good discussion about this very thing, and the guy ended up giving me 20$ back to buy lunch becuase he liked us and had so many bad craigslist deals in the past.

Its true. Just the way the site is set up leaves things very vague to the point where everything feels shady. Funny thing, i answered a shady ad once about 33's and it turned out to be a kid i knew in my town. Those awful things are still on my jeep

My bro-in-law sold his s2000 a few years back. Never met the guy who bought his car, just did everything over the phone and then the guy just asked for the bill of sale and the keys to be left in the glove box of the car and to leave it at a certain parking lot

I had a similar transaction. car was being shipped over seas. Buyer came to pay though. Said they only need a bill of sale. Wanted to buy anything smaller that was AWD or 4x4.

Every time i'm going to buy something on there i think it's a shady deal.

I just recently figured out that if they put a phone number on the ad, and you copy it and paste it into your facebook search bar, if they have a facebook with their number attached to it, it will pull up their profile.

It's always reassuring to take a look through their facebook before you deal with them.

                            great, nice contribution

When someone came to get my rear axle he just shows up, hands me money, him and this other dude threw the axle in the back of their truck and took off. The whole thing felt like it took 30 seconds, i was like hurmmm, okay.

I always feel weird telling them my address too, to come and pick something up. Literally never know what to expect.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.
