Honestly you can pickup a GOOD ecomonical car for about 5-6 grand, I got my 01 Accord EX(4cyl/5spd) for 6 g's with 68,000 orig miles, and looked up KBB and it was worth more because it's condition and mileage, I'm not going to lie I looked for a few months and saw LOTS of complete POS's before finding this but it IS possible.

i passed this up a few months ago for my jeep, this was going to be what i was going to restore instead of my wrangler.

not just a bug though, it had a clides buggies performance motor, and aftermarket transaxle. it would have been a hot bug for offroading. needed the normal, floor pans, and panels, some paint, but not nearly as bad as my jeep. heres a pic of the motor.

dual offenhauser carburetors, on pavement the bug will wheelie.
.. this guys is a friend of my dads, he had a few more vehicles that intriged me too.

like this. 1500 bucks, straight 6 though, but super solid frame, never been offroad.

lots of old rusted out mjs and he had 7 mail jeep!

i like this one a ton, this was for sale to, hes been driving it since he was 7, so i didnt ask the price.

                            I want a 1968-1972 chevelle with a big block and a 6 speed

But really I want to find a 1928 to 1934ish two door sedan that I can build rat rod style.

And as a daily driver I eventually want a 2002-2003 Corvette which can be had for under 20,000. Corvette is down the road a few years more than likely as I won't get one until I live in a different house.
