You can find a TSi Talon for around 6-7 in good shape and low miles... fits right in in my book.

These cars come in much cheaper when they are used which is what we are talking about. A B5 S4 can be had between 10-20k and many are on the closer to 10k. Regular A4s are going under 10k. Same thing goes for the BMWs.

If I wasn't worried about looking for 4 doors, I would like to pickup a MK4 GTI. Does that match more of what price range you are thinking as those can be had for a few thousand?

I was more thinking of... a car that is affordable but that isn't some pipe dream unless you win the lotto or come up with some inheritance or something along those lines.

I guess what one can afford the other can't but maybe this should be rephrased as a car that you could get... IRL sometime.
