Under 25k you could grab an e46 m3 or a certified 330 with maintenance of you buy from a BMW dealer. Not many cars I would choose under 50k that aren't BMW...

I got mine for, I think, 32k out the door. Fully loaded, 42k on the clock, 100k maint/warranty, and all sorts of stealership addons. I would bet you could grab one without the idrive and some other stuff for 25k. Also, beleive it or not, but BMW has awesome financing rates and very low credit requirements. I got 2.9% with not the best credit.
